The Erasmus+ programme of the EU (2021-2027) offers financial support for the advancement and innovation in education. Among others, it supports participation in so-called structured learning events, such as trainings and academies. NICE Academies are conceived as such a structured learning events, with clear learning objectives and an educational programme. This means that if you work in school, adult, VET and/ or higher education in a programme country (includes all EU countries), chances are good that you can get funding to participate.
The new Erasmus+ programme is about to publish its new Programme Guide in January 2021, and only then exact deadlines and financial details can be provided here. For now, deadlines and funding amounts on this page are thus estimates.
If you work as a career counsellor (including those working at schools), or adult educator outside of a higher education institution (paid work or voluntary work), your organisation might be able to apply for a Erasmus+ grant, provided your organisation is based in the EU, or Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Lichtenstein or Turkey. Your organisation can submit an application (deadline Mid-March, only one deadline a year) for participation at the NICE Academy as well as more learning opportunities.
If your organisation is interested in this, please contact Yvor Broer (ybroer@in-dialogue.org) as quickly as possible, who may be able to support you in making an application. Also, if you already won an Erasmus+ grant, do contact him, so the Academy can be added to your mobility plan.
In case your institution has been awarded with a larger Erasmus+ grant, which most higher education institutions in Europe have, just contact your Erasmus+ coordinator. Ask him/ her if funding is left for you (and possibly your colleagues) to come to the NICE Academy. This way you can cover travel, stay and the participation fee. The Erasmus+ programme will cover a flat rate for travel, a flat day for stay per day, and a flat rate 350 Euro organisational support fee (which is more than sufficient to cover the academy fee).
It is best is to discuss this option with your Erasmus+ coordinator. If there are questions from their side, then do contact paris2021@nice-network.eu. Make sure to communicate that the academy is a "structured learning event" – thus not a conference. Erasmus+ funding is not available for the attendance of conferences.

NICE Academies are structured learning and networking events for professionals and academic trainers in the field of career guidance and counselling. Through these learning and networking events, NICE aims to support excellence and innovation in the academic training of career practitioners across Europe (a) by developing and promoting joint European standards, (b) by fostering an exchange of good practices, and (c) by fostering collaboration between academic trainers and career specialists across borders. The NICE Academies are therefore dedicated to the modernization and internationalization of academic training in career guidance and counselling and of academic training.
