Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE)
The Faculty embraces disciplines of long tradition: Pedagogy, the old discipline of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), and Pychology, which was first established here in our country, and undertakes the amalgamation of these two in the area of teacher training.
The historically significant reorganistion of the Hungarian higher education – Bologna Process – brings the education of Community Culture (as a special field of Andragogy) close to our profile, which is organised by our Faculty as well.
The Centre of counseling psychology is providing lectures with themes like existing systems of counseling, the connection between guidance, counseling and psychotherapy, their similarities and differences. It introduces the consistent steps to be taken as well as the main types of counseling intervention and also the most important trends in psychotherapy. (Counseling in primary, secondary, and higher education, counseling for couples and families,crisis counseling, rehabilitation counseling, work, career, and organizational counseling etc.).
Our aim participating in this specific program is, to take an active role in the ongoing change and implement a new paradigm in lifelong career guidance. To develop degree programs supporting career guidance practitioners, using innovative teaching and learning methods in career guidance, especially which are sensible for development of career guidance competences, combining research and learning, innovative ICT-based contents, approaches and procedures. This results are applicable for graduate and postgraduate programs in the institute.
